Pepsi Twist
by Pepsi
Gone from American shelves since 2006, save a one-season 2008 cameo rebadged as 'Pepsi NFL Kickoff.' It never really died abroad — parts of Europe, Asia, and Latin America still bottle it, and Uruguay got a zero-sugar revival in 2025 — but there's no sign of a U.S. return.
Pepsi with a squeeze of lemon, launched in 2000 and marketed like the future of soda — Super Bowl ads, celebrity cameos, a Diet twin for the carb-counting Y2K years. By summer 2006 America had moved on to lime-flavored everything, and the Twist untwisted from U.S. shelves.
🧾 One more thingIts 2003 Super Bowl ad was a fever dream: Ozzy Osbourne watches Jack and Kelly peel off their faces to reveal Donny and Marie Osmond, then wakes up in bed next to Florence Henderson. When Ozzy died in 2025, Donny reposted the ad and it pulled over a million views in tribute.
