Milk Shake

by Hollywood Candy
1927 – 1996 GONE FOREVER

Gone. A law-firm summary of the Hershey case says it sold "until the 1990s," and 1996, when Hershey bought Leaf, is the usual end date, with no announcement behind it. The launch year also varies, from 1927 to about 1929.

A malted nougat bar from the company behind PayDay and Zero, made for most of the century. Its two siblings stayed on the shelf when Hershey took over the family. The Milk Shake did not.

🧾 One more thingIn 2011 an outsider tried to revive it by registering the name. Hershey opposed him and won at the trademark board in 2013, because it had been using MILKSHAKE on Kit Kat and Whopper products since 2005.
