2006 – 2007 GONE FOREVER

Gone — the Frescata line arrived in April 2006 and was phased out through 2007. Wendy's has never brought it back.

Wendy's run at Subway: deli sandwiches assembled to order on ciabatta rolls, launched in April 2006 and sold as a picnic in every bite. The picnic was over inside two years.

🧾 One more thingThey worked at first and were credited with lifting the chain's sales — but every sandwich took too long to build for a drive-thru operation, and Wendy's concluded the Frescata was chasing the same customer its specialty salads already had. Speed, not flavor, is what killed them.
