Gone. Little Debbie's own history dates the launch to January 1969; the 2022 end is reported rather than announced, since McKee never gave a date. In October 2026 its spokesman called a return "unlikely." Cosmic, Mini and Turtle Brownies are still sold.
The grown-up brownie in the Little Debbie box: dense fudge, a crackly top, and walnuts for anyone who considered that a feature. It survived more than fifty years of lunchboxes, then slipped off shelves without a word.
🧾 One more thingNuts did it in. McKee says the walnuts were an allergen run on a shared line, so every batch meant a multi-hour deep clean, and the line time went to better sellers. It launched in January 1969, thirty years before Cosmic Brownies.
