1998 – 2022 GONE FOREVER

Gone — production stopped at the end of 2022, and the bottles that surface online now are strays rather than a restock. The Honest name survives on Coca-Cola's kids' juice pouches and on an iced green tea in India, but not on this.

Barely sweetened tea in a glass bottle, sold to people who had decided soda was over, brewed first in a Bethesda kitchen by a business professor and his former student. Coca-Cola bought in, then bought the rest, and in 2022 decided the shelf was needed for something else.

🧾 One more thingWithin months of the announcement the founders were back on shelves with Just Ice Tea — a separate brand, near-identical recipes, a near-identical bottle. It has since passed Peace Tea, one of the two labels Coca-Cola kept instead of this one.
