Coffee Coolatta

by Dunkin' Donuts
1995 – 2017 GONE FOREVER

Gone — Dunkin' phased it out over the summer of 2017 for a frozen coffee of coffee extract, ice, cane sugar and dairy, sold today as a Coffee Chiller; the fruit Coolatta flavors stayed. Accounts date the debut anywhere from 1994 to 1997, and a 2005 company release pins it to 1995.

Sweet enough that a large caramel version with cream ran 990 calories, the frozen slush was a drink Dunkin' Donuts was still calling a top seller in 2005. Twelve years later an executive told reporters it simply was not good enough.

🧾 One more thingDunkin' renewed the COFFEE COOLATTA trademark in mid-February 2017, about a month before it told the world the drink was finished — paying to hold a name it had already decided to stop using. The registration is still live today.
