Bigg Mixx

by Kellogg's
1990 – 1992 GONE FOREVER

Gone by 1992, after roughly two years. Neither the cereal nor the creature has been revived, and the dates come from local newspaper coverage and cereal reference sites rather than any Kellogg's announcement.

A multigrain cereal fronted by a cryptid: rooster's head, moose antlers, pig's snout, wolf's fur, allegedly stalking the Yakima Valley. Kellogg's spent the spring of 1990 insisting the creature was real and had given up on the whole enterprise by 1992.

🧾 One more thingThe box ran a mock news report dating the first Bigg Mixx sighting to 1978 near Toppenish Creek, by a Yakima hiker with the invented name Travis Uddlebock. A Kellogg's publicity manager told the Yakima Herald-Republic that the valley had been chosen precisely because Americans felt warmly about the place without ever having been there.
