Garden Sensations Salads

by Wendy's
2002 – 2010 GONE FOREVER

Gone. Wendy's replaced the whole roster in July 2010 with Apple Pecan Chicken, BLT Cobb, Spicy Chicken Caesar and Baja salads, priced about a dollar higher. Wendy's still sells salads; the Garden Sensations name and lineup are what's gone.

Wendy's bid to beat casual-dining chains at their own salad, sold as a full entrΓ©e rather than a side of iceberg. Mandarin Chicken was the favorite, and the line lasted eight years before a pricier lineup moved in.

🧾 One more thingAnalysts credited the salads with helping Wendy's chase Burger King for the No. 2 spot: Technomic had Wendy's $1.5 billion behind in 2002 and only $600 million behind a year later. A former Wendy's marketing chief called the line "a big hit for us."
