Tyson Looney Tunes Meals
by Tyson
Gone — Tyson pulled the meals in 1993, the trade press putting it in the spring and a later account at the end of the year, and no successor is documented as reaching US freezers. Kid Cuisine is the one still in the aisle, and probably what most people are picturing.
Tweety Macaroni, Speedy Gonzales Beef Enchiladas, Daffy Duck Spaghetti & Meatballs — Tyson gave each character its own dinner and packed trading cards into the blue box. Three years later Tyson was out of the kids' freezer and the license was shopping for a new manufacturer.
🧾 One more thingThe launch rode a year-long Bugs Bunny 50th-birthday celebration, and Tyson spent $15 million telling children about it. ConAgra's Kid Cuisine was soon outselling the Looney Tunes dinners three to one.
