Gone. High Road Craft Ice Cream bought the plant and the brand in 2020-21 and promised a relaunch, then was itself taken over by a creditor in 2022; no revived Three Twins pint is known to have shipped.
Organic ice cream that started in a tiny San Rafael scoop shop in 2005 and grew into pints in about 5,000 stores. Halo Top, pricier vanilla and discount-hungry retailers wore it down, and the pandemic finished it in April 2020.
🧾 One more thingThe name counts three twins: founder Neal Gottlieb, his twin brother, and the brother's partner, also a twin. Gottlieb once offered a $60,000 sundae that came with a trip up Kilimanjaro, where he would churn the ice cream with glacier ice from the summit.
