1996 – 2013 GONE FOREVER

Gone — the pints left freezer cases in 2013 and nothing has replaced them on shelves in over a decade. Coffee ice cream is everywhere now; the Starbucks-branded version is not.

Before every grocery freezer carried a coffee pint, Starbucks put its coffee in one — Java Chip, Caramel Macchiato and Mocha Frappuccino, on supermarket shelves from 1996. It outlived two different manufacturers and then quietly stopped being made.

🧾 One more thingIt began as a Dreyer's product, moved to Unilever in 2009, and was gone by 2013, outlasted by the bottled Frappuccino it borrowed its flavors from. Starbucks' only real return to frozen since has been the affogato, poured to order at a handful of Reserve locations rather than sold in a carton.
