Red Bull Simply Cola

by Red Bull
2008 – 2011 GONE FOREVER

Gone in the US. Red Bull North America halted production in July 2011 and sold off remaining stock, while keeping the cola in about 20 other markets. A reformulated Organics by Red Bull Simply Cola got a small US test in 2018 and is not on Red Bull's US product list today.

The energy-drink giant's run at Coke and Pepsi, pitched as an all-natural cola with no phosphoric acid or preservatives. Three years later Red Bull stopped making it in the US and declined to say why.

🧾 One more thingThe recipe used coca leaf extract, and in 2009 a German lab found traces of cocaine, so several German states pulled it. The federal risk agency ruled it harmless: you would need about 12,000 litres to reach the lowest dose with any effect.
