Northern Neck Ginger Ale

by Coca-Cola
1926 – 2020 GONE FOREVER

Gone since 2020 — production stopped that spring in an aluminum can shortage and never restarted, and by the fall it was on the discontinued list beside Tab and Delaware Punch. Ninety-four years, and still gone in 2026.

A ginger ale off a Prohibition-era family recipe, bottled in Montross and sold mostly to Virginians within driving distance of it. Coca-Cola bought the recipe in 2001, kept it regional for another nineteen years, then let it go.

🧾 One more thingA senator, a governor and a congressman all wrote to Coca-Cola about a local soda; King George and Westmoreland counties passed resolutions; fans started a non-profit and rented a billboard in Richmond. Coca-Cola has not budged.
