Yes — Flaky Flix vanished around 2006, returned briefly in early 2008, then died for good in Mother's Cookies' October 2008 bankruptcy. Kellogg's revived the brand's other cookies in 2009; Flaky Flix never made the cut, and its trademark was quietly cancelled in 2021.

Chocolate-dipped wafer cookies rolled in crunchy cereal flakes, from Mother's Cookies of Oakland — the circus-animal people. They faded from shelves around 2006, staged a brief 2008 encore, then went down with the company that October.

🧾 One more thingThe launch date hid in a trademark filing for half a century: Mother's swore to the USPTO that Flaky Flix first shipped in June 1973. The fan legend that they were 'originally called Fiddle Flakes' actually conflates them with a near-identical 1960s wafer from East Coast rival Burry's — same vanilla-or-fudge pairing, same seven-ounce package, different company.
