Bigfoot disappeared from Pizza Hut menus in the mid-1990s — most accounts put the end around 1995, when Stuffed Crust took over — and it has never come back as a national menu item.
Two square feet of rectangular pizza sliced into 21 squares for $10.99, Pizza Hut's opening move in the great big-pizza arms race against Little Caesars and Domino's. It fed entire sleepovers, took a blimp and a cartoon sasquatch to advertise, and then walked back into the woods.
🧾 One more thingThe dough was its undoing — stretched that thin across a two-foot pan it tore constantly, and a torn Bigfoot couldn't be patched back together, so it went straight in the bin. Pizza Hut moved the marketing budget to a pizza with cheese hidden in the crust instead, and that one is still on the menu three decades later.
