Vermonty Python

by Ben & Jerry's
2006 – 2008 GONE FOREVER

Gone — the company's own graveyard records a 2006–2008 run. Ben & Jerry's does take public requests to resurrect buried flavors, so a comeback would be loud news; it hasn't happened.

Coffee liqueur ice cream shot through with chocolate cookie crumb and fudge cows, named for a British comedy troupe by a company that has never once been able to resist a pun. It ran two years before taking its place on the hill behind the factory.

🧾 One more thingBen & Jerry's buries its retired flavors under real headstones in a graveyard above its Waterbury plant, each with an epitaph in verse. Vermonty Python's is written as a bickering argument over whether the flavor is actually dead — which is either a fitting tribute or the single most obvious joke available to them.
