Diet Coke Plus

by Coca-Cola
2007 – 2011 GONE FOREVER

Gone. Coca-Cola launched it nationally in April 2007, and bottles began disappearing from US stores in 2011; no month is documented. The fiber drink sold in Japan since 2017 as Coca-Cola Plus is a different product, not a revival.

Diet Coke with a multivitamin dissolved in it, launched in 2007 when every drink in America wanted to be good for you. It promised to be more than a soda, and the FDA came by to check.

🧾 One more thingIn December 2008 the FDA sent Coca-Cola a warning letter over the name: a 'plus' claim needs at least 10% more of a nutrient, and the agency said this soda didn't qualify. It carried niacin, vitamins B6 and B12, zinc and magnesium.
